As I used to run track, I love to take my workouts outside and onto the track. Running in circles can be monotonous, especially since one mile is four laps around the track. So I like to keep it interesting by incorporating intervals, plyometrics, and body weight exercises into my track workouts. Luckily, I live within two miles from a track and am able to run to and from the track as a warmup/cool down. However, I think you will find these workouts can be challenging enough without the extra miles!
